This series resulted from finding a cache of old, lost, photographs.

The people and scenes within each image tell an unknown story. They evoke imaginary memories and speculation about other lives lived.

 

Taking this as a starting point, a story evolves. The mother and her little boy - who are they? where did they come from? what can we imagine about them and their past?

These images are the stories they told to me; my images blended with their photos, their history blended with my images creating something new and becoming a new history, a new story; a speculative fiction.
